Shelf Reliance Giveaway!

Are you looking for the convenience of packaged foods without all the nutritional loss or chemicals that comes with it?

The THRIVE food line provided through Shelf Reliance is essentially a freezer dried food preservation system that protects the nutrients in grains, beans, fruits, vegetables, and meats (all the basic food groups) without any added chemicals, additives or preservatives. Ingredients are flash frozen and then vacuum dried and finally sealed in moisture proof cans. Both dehydration and freeze drying remove the moisture from the food. Freeze drying gives the food an even longer shelf life than dehydration because it also preserves the cell structure and nutrients.

This method of preservation extends the shelf life of these basic foods, making it extremely convenient to have on hand to add to your everyday recipes without having to rush to the store for a missing ingredient. Most THRIVE products have an optimal sealed shelf life of 10-20 years (some are as high as 30+ years) and an opened shelf life of 6-18 months. When you replace the water, the foods regain their original fresh flavor, aroma, nutrients, texture and appearance.

The fruits are so versatile to throw in kid’s backpacks or diaper bags. Pure fruits with no added sugars or preservatives that can be taken on the go!  The vegetables are great too as they are already cleaned and chopped for you, not to mention no waste of rotten fruits and vegetables at the bottom of your fridge.  Saves time and money!

THRIVE fruits and vegetables can also be rehydrated and blended to create fabulous smoothies and baby foods that are all-natural, healthy, and bursting with flavor.

I would choose the blueberries – they would be easy to add to pancakes, muffins, oatmeal.

  2. Breezie September 6, 2011 at 12:58 pm #

Too many to choose! But, since it is required, I think any of the frozen fruits would be great to have around! Now, that really narrows it down, doesn’t it? LOL.

    • Breezie September 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm #

I didn’t mean frozen, I just meant fruits. lol

  8. Jessica September 6, 2011 at 9:36 am #

The freeze dried mangos would be awesome. Mangos are a pain to peel and it is almost impossible to find dried mangos with out sugar. The garden vegetable seeds is a great idea too!

  9. Felicia September 6, 2011 at 9:34 am #

I’d love to try their apple chips. I’m always on the look out for them!

  17. Leanne September 5, 2011 at 6:54 pm #

Wow! I’d sure like to try the blueberries as well as any other fruit or vegetable that contains only the fruit or vegetable! Now if they only used organic, … .

  18. AR September 5, 2011 at 6:33 pm #

  23. Libby September 5, 2011 at 2:43 pm #

I’ll go with the blueberries! would love to win the giveaway because we bought a bunch while they were in season and froze them with the intention of using them throughout the year. but we’re almost out now! and our blueberry budget is maxed for the year, so i’d love to have some more!

  24. Molly Grigoruk September 5, 2011 at 12:53 pm #

Love the fruit , but would prob use the spinach for smoothies

  25. Kristy September 5, 2011 at 12:41 pm #

I want to try the freeze dried mango!

  26. Linda September 5, 2011 at 12:26 pm #

Do I have to choose just one? My husband says he blueberries because they are yummy. I’d be very interested in trying the butter because it would be useful in our emergency pantry (for breadmaking, among other things). I think the spinach looks like an easy way to pack nutrition in to a variety of meals.

  27. Mrs. Taft September 5, 2011 at 12:15 pm #

I love the fruits, but I think I’d most love the freeze dried chicken…how convenient!

  28. Brandy F September 5, 2011 at 11:12 am #

  30. MrsWheeler September 5, 2011 at 10:55 am #

Although I know I’d need to say veggies or something like that, honestly wouldn’t an emergency would be less dire with 10 # of fudge brownies?

  31. Angela September 5, 2011 at 10:19 am #

Love the pineapple and raspberries… so yummy, and I have to mention the instant milk… and their whole dairy line really. Fabulous.

  32. Rachel September 5, 2011 at 10:13 am #

Definitely the fruits product! Healthy and tasty, too.

  33. Susan September 5, 2011 at 10:09 am #

I love the apples! Apples are historically great for a quick energy boost and are loaded with fiber! And as the saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away!

  34. Bethany September 5, 2011 at 9:31 am #

Yum, blueberries! They are my daughters’ favorite berries. I also like the shredded cheese canisters. Frozen shredded cheese at the store here is full of additives and includes potato starch, which I can’t eat due to arthritis. Great website!

  35. Meghan W September 5, 2011 at 8:58 am #

Blueberries, blueberries, blueberries… Can you tell I have blueberries on the brain. Around here they seemed to be high priced this summer and I haven’t seemed to indulge in them at all, except for the odd local artisan bake goods or if other people have them around and where I use to grow up it was all about wild blueberries which I still dream about, where I live now it’s all about the Saskatoon berries, which I love, but just not the same. Everything else looks neat and I’m also on a raspberry kick or even blackberries. But I would have to go with blueberries.

  36. Liz September 5, 2011 at 8:57 am #

    I like the seeds too!

  37. Winona September 5, 2011 at 8:55 am #

I had a hard time deciding, there are so many different things I could use. I think I just want those blueberries, so handy! I’ll definitely be going back to buy.

  38. Beth September 5, 2011 at 7:49 am #

Teehee…I couldn’t help but notice the desserts…freeze dried icecream! Sounds interesting But in practicality, the dried fruits all look wonderful. And I was intrigued by the entrees too. So interesting.

  39. angi September 5, 2011 at 7:35 am #

The vegetable seeds would be great to have – Always on the lookout for high quality ones, sometimes difficult to come by. Thanks!

  40. Wendi September 5, 2011 at 6:41 am #

I like the butter powder. It would be nice to have in our emergency supplies. I also like the fruits.

  41. Tracie September 5, 2011 at 6:19 am #

I love the garden Vegetable Seeds! I sometimes have difficulty finding good quality seeds to plant in my garden each year. I love the variety and that the seeds are so fresh!
