I am 5 months pregnant with our first precious baby! My favorite exercise lately has been to do a short yoga session before I go to bed. It really helps to relax my body and I have been sleeping wonderfully since I started this! The yoga also helps to relieve any pains (especially back pains!) that used to interfere with me getting a good night’s rest. So, that would be my little exercise tip that I would like to share! I hope that it is helpful!
My tip is to set realistic goals and stick to something you will keep doing. It doesn’t matter what you do, but you just have to do it on a regular basis!1
If I don’t get up and get it done, it isn’t going to happen. I have to make more of an effort to make this more routine. My body is a temple…
Facebook comment left for 2nd entry!
Pick me! My tip is to not allow myself to turn on the computer before I have read my Bible, prayed, exercised, and done the same with the kids.
Hi Lindsay! I posted a comment on the Trill Fitness fb page. My husband and I relocated to Vancouver, WA 3 years ago to be a part of a Sovereign Grace church plant where he leads worship. I stay at home with my 18 mo old girl, but coach volleyball part-time at Multnomah Univ. I would love to win the cd to use it for the team’s warmup mix.
I am a former college athlete and now mother of a fun 18 mo old.
My tip: You must give yourself grace and realize that your daily exercise routine will change and morph depending on the season. I remember the days of working out/training 4+ hours a day… that amount is laughable now. I enjoying incorporating some excersise while my little one is in the stroller (like stroller strides), but also get some strength training and core work through different pilates workouts.
I just wanted to tell how how much I appreciate your blog! When I need fresh ideas and a little inspiration and motivation to keep passion in homemaking, this is one place I turn and it really is wonderful. Thank you for all the time you put into it:)
Do what I call “functional exercise.” Park far away from the store, run up and down your stairs, avoid elevators and escalators, walk the kids to school, etc. My favorite exercise though is baby wearing. Put a kid in an Ergo on your back while you do everything else and you have a built-in workout!
I like to involve my kids in the exercise. When I do my prenatal yoga, they are all around me trying the poses and having fun.
Now that the kids are getting older, we are trying to exercise more as a family. It is great and everyone gets there choice on rotation.
This sounds like double inspiration to me! Feel great about yourself while you are bettering yourself

I LOVE Treadmill Trainer by Yuri Elkaim…living in rural Alaska, I end up exercising on my treadmill a lot. He “talks you through” your workout, like a personal trainer would. It’s great! The best thing for the treadmill? Intervals. Run for a minute, walk for a minute, run fast for 30 seconds, walk for 30 seconds. It makes it easier, and it mixes it up so it’s not so boring!! (I also do crunches and pushups while playing on the floor with the kids. My little ones like going under the “tunnel” my body makes between pushups…and they make great weights on your feet for situps! Make it fun and involve your kids! What a better way to model a healthy lifestyle!)
mix it up… get going on that muscle confusion
Walking! My current lifestyle includes three miles of walking a day, which is just wonderful (in great weather). I love to walk and it’s really a great way to stay in shape.
The CD sounds wonderful
I’ve recently started working out again after baby number 3!! The best encouragement that I have found is that my hubby works out with me. We do a home video workout routine that we can each do at our own pace/level. He is a great work out partner and itworking out together also doubles as some great quality time for the two of us. Having 3 children 4 yrs and under doesn’t allow us much of that! Its hard work and lots of fun at the same time…we definitely get to laugh at one another during our workout blunders!
The best tip for exercising that I have is make it fun–running around with the kids or gardening. But on those cold winter days when everyone just wants to snuggle on the couch, the best advice is to just get up early and workout. Getting my blood pumping before the kids wake up is helpful in having a positive attitude with them.

Do something — whether it is 5 minutes or 30 minutes. When you wake up do a few sit ups. Before going to bed do sideway twists. When you have kids, you are forced to become creative with your exercise program. The key is have a plan.
Favorite tip… STAY HYDRATED!
Love to use a long run as a long prayer time.
I try to excersize the same time of the day, if I do it another time of the day it seems that my day gets filled with other things. I try to do different work outs, arobics, abs, and strength training on a DVD I work out to, that way I don’t get board.

Coach! I coach three sports and I love working out with and teaching fitness skills to middle school and high school kids.
My tip is to exercise first thing in the morning. I’m so glad someone finally put together a cd like this. I used to hate listening to the offensive lyrics and have asked gyms to change music when I have been exercising when I hear something demeaning or too sexual.
Cool! My husband has started the Couch to 5k program, and I am looking forward to starting once my baby is born and I get the okay to start running. This would be perfect!
I would love to win this CD. I used to teach step aerobics and wasn’t allowed to play any Christian music because I might offend someone. Apparently, people aren’t offend by “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”. I also love Sovereign Grace Music. Thanks!!
You don’t have to go to a gym or buy equipment to exercise…just get moving.
I don’t have a great tip for exercising. Right now with 3 little ones, just real life is exercise, and if I get to talk a walk with the kiddos, that’s a bonus!
Worship music to workout too sounds great.
I left a comment on FB. What a great idea for a CD…worship music. awesome.
My favorite tip about exercise is this: Make exercise a LIFESTYLE, not just something “you have to do”. For example, need to pick up a few things at the grocery store? Walk! Or Ride your bike with the bike trailer with the kids. How can you MOVE and do things you’d normally have to do? Make it your lifestyle, not just another hour out of your already too-busy schedule.

Exercise should be fun. My tip is to experiment and see what fun activities you enjoy best, whether it’s wii fit, Yoga, Cycling, swimming or just plain old walking!
My favorite tip is to have fun with the kids so I forget I’m exercising! Thanks for the chance to win!
Situps morning and night…up out of bed, down at night.
I’d love to win this cd! I’m 6 months into my 4th pregnancy and have found exercising a few times a week to be very helpful in keeping my energy levels up and my blood pressure normalized. ~Kristy @ Homemaker’s Cottage
I am not a mom but one of my fav things to do for an arm workout is playing with my roommates 3 year old. I will hold his hands and he will jump up and down. It is a great arm work out and he gets to work on his counting skills while we are at it. He thinks it is loads of fun and we both get something out it! Just keep an eye on your toes

Exercise tip: get a friend or a group of friends to workout with you!
My exercise tip is to pick something you love and do it. Like to walk but not run, then don’t feel guilty for not being a runner. Just make time for a walk. Also, find someone to exercise with. Some of my sweetest memories with my mom are when we would walk a 3 mile loop together. It was so great to share about our days and also be doing something good for our bodies!
This sounds like a great CD!! Good idea
My exercise tip is to have a destination when walking or running- makes it seem more worthwhile
I would love the CD! I am starting to work out again after baby #1, hoping to get in shape before pregnancy #2 comes along.
My tip – don’t put it off! Find a friend who wants to work out too, and keep each other accountable. Find time to exercize whenever you can, whether it’s early in the morning, during your lunch break, taking the baby for a walk, etc.
Find something that is fun and you like to do! I have had some of the best times exercising by just worshipping freely to the Lord in my own living room. Jumping, spinning and dancing can be a blessing to the Lord and a great work out at the same time!
I left a comment on FB. The CD looks awesome!!!
My tip for ladies who work outside the home: Put your work-out clothes on before you leave work and stop by the gym on your way home. When I do this, I can resist the temptation to “just rest for a minute on the couch first”, which inevitably turns into “I’m too tired to exercise today.”
I sign up for “races”. I don’t run to win or for a time…but if I sign up for a race, I workout very consistently so that I will be able to complete the race and feel good about it. My three friends and I signed up for the Disney Princess Half Marathon. We worked out all year and just did Disney at the beginning of March. It was such a great reward.
Just get out and start some where…anywhere….just start moving….park a little farther out….take the stairs….have a apple (just ate one) for engery and then when you start….start walking one block, then maybe 2 and so on….but start where you are….
I do not have any advice as I am new to actually exercising on purpose.:)We have always had plenty to do with animals etc. outside I never HAD to exercise. Then I turned thirty and all those extra baby pounds do not shed as easy anymore.:)

1. Exercise first thing in the morning! Before the kids get up! 2. Include strengthening 3. If you’re short on time, still include strengthening and cut back to 15 minutes of aerobic activity.
Thanks for the opportunity, would love to win this CD for exercising at home!
I would love to win this! My tip is to alternate activity levels during the workout and drink lots of water!
I incorporate fitness in family time. In the summer time, I take walks or go swimming with my family. We play outside all summer long. This year, I bought nets/goals to set up in the yard so we can play soccer together. We are also active with the other families in the neighborhood. Sometimes we will throw together an impromptu game of kickball or baseball, where the parents and children play together. My neighbor has a trampoline, so often you will find the adults and the kids jumping together. Not only are we getting our exercise in, but we are staying connected as a family, and with our community.
