List Plan It Giveaway!

Do you feel a lack in the area of home organization? Are you looking for a tool to help you stay focused and most productive in your life? I was recently given a subscription to List Plan It for my review and have been impressed by the wealth of resources this company has to offer to give you the tools to increase your productivity in all areas of life. Through a yearly subscription, you can have access to over 500 different lists to assist in keeping your world in order, from organizing business, family matters, home, holidays, meal planning, finances, contacts and so much more. Each list comes in pdf form allowing you to print or edit as desired for your own unique use. I like being organized but I was almost overwhelmed by all the different lists, and although I personally wouldn’t use a quarter of the lists available, the remaining lists will definitely help manage my household and time more wisely or provide inspiration for my own lists. There are 10 (out of 15) of the main categories that applied to my life, so I felt I could tackle getting more organized in one category per month. I have found the weekly planning lists to be very helpful for my personal weekly planning outing. Inspiration is flowing for revamping my homemaking notebook.

ListPlanIt.com would like to offer 1 reader a chance to win a Download Membership ($30 value).  Once set up as a member, you have access to the hundreds of lists and planning pages available.  You can choose to view each page, print the ones you want, type in your own information, and save them to your own computer for future use for 1 full year.

I’ve been working on my meal planning and prep for months now. What I’ve been trying lately to help me get a better grasp to slow down and go with a smaller scale. I’ve created one weekly meal plan including breakfasts, lunch, supper and snacks and I’m repeating it weekly. Once I get a better grasp on this I’ll try to work in more variety again.

I struggle in the area of paper clutter. I have tried several filing systems but I tend to file and re file. Shifting paper from one place to the other. Perhaps it is because my filing cabinet is not on the main level of our home because there is no room for it there.

menu planning would improve nutrition and a healthier weight. I am trying to plan my meals on Sun. night for the rest of the week using Jillian ‘s weight loss program.

Pretty much all areas of my life could use this. Two special needs babies in one tiny nursery with all their equipment, schoolroom, kitchen, time management….

I am working on organizing our menu and daily outings.

I honestly can’t think of an area in my home/life that wouldn’t benefit from this site. I’m feeling out of control in almost all areas and really just want someone to tell me what to do. a starting point to get the ball rolling. I’m so far behind, i don’t even know where to start.

I could use some help in keeping up with cleaning my house. I currently try and clean 2 areas of house a day but that doesn’t always happen

Organizing paperwork would definitely be appreciated!

  19. Kristin Feb 27, 2010 at 3:44 pm #

I think my chores and cleaning could use a bit more organization. Right now it’s rather haphazard and some things never get done!

  20. Brandi Feb 27, 2010 at 1:03 pm #

I am working on time management and clutter control. I have determined not to leave a room empty handed and to not go into a room without doing one small cleanup task to keep the room looking neater.

I am now following listplanit on twitter (as wrackspurt4)

  22. Becky Feb 27, 2010 at 10:51 am #

I don’t think there’s just one area of my life that needs better organization. I’m a student, and I work, and I live in an apartment that I try to keep clean and organized. I constantly feel like I’m drowning in paper work and assignments, as well as the cooking and cleaning, grocery shopping and bills. Right now I color-code my to-do lists on a giant dry erase board, but it takes forever just to organize my color-code system, and it’s very overwhelming (and sometimes my lists get erased on accident :-/).
I’ve been trying very hard to get my life organized recently (I’ve even started actively budgeting which was a HUGE step for me), and I’m currently looking for a new organizational method.

  23. Jola Feb 27, 2010 at 9:56 am #

And I have started following Jen on twitter (as bambuzel)!

  24. Jola Feb 27, 2010 at 9:55 am #

I could really use help with getting more organized about cleaning and meal planning. I have started keeping a list (on a whiteboard next to a fridge) of vegetables I have in the fridge and meat in the freezer, so that helps with meals, but I haven’t got to the actual planning yet.

  25. Amber Feb 27, 2010 at 8:12 am #

I would say most definitely menu planning. I am ready to start doing this (have yet to try it) and this would be tremendous help! :0)

  26. Shelly Feb 27, 2010 at 8:11 am #

Organization is always such a work in progress. I got a cute green bin to keep my son’s toys collected up when he not using them. It is easy to put them away, and he can help since it is light weight.

  27. Stacy Feb 27, 2010 at 7:44 am #

I am working on menu planning and using what food we already have stashed in our pantry. Just yesterday I cleaned out the pantry to toss expired food (oh, what a waste that was!). I have been trying to plan at least a few meals a week. I know that I need help in so many more areas, so I would love to win this! Thanks for the chance!

  28. Arianna aten Feb 27, 2010 at 7:07 am #

Menu planning. Had morning sickness and didntwant to even think about food!

  29. Michelle Feb 27, 2010 at 6:18 am #

I put it up on my bog, too! Thanks!

  30. Emily Feb 27, 2010 at 5:48 am #

Menu planning is by far the area I need the most work on. When I do it, it saves time and money. The problem for me is consistency.

  31. Michelle Feb 27, 2010 at 5:47 am #

I could SO use help organizing meals and meal prep. Between trying to figure out sprouting grain (beans & seeds?!?!), making bread, making sure meals are balanced, dehydrating all manner of vegetation… Help!

  32. Susan Feb 27, 2010 at 5:46 am #

I am really trying to work on becoming more organized. This looks like a good system

  33. Tasha Feb 27, 2010 at 4:23 am #

Hmm. There are so many areas of my life that need more organization! haha!

I think right now the biggest area that needs organization is my daily work. I tend to ignore it or flit from one thing to the next. Right now I’m de-junking my house and getting rid of anything I don’t need/want/love. The mental burden of having unwanted things lying around impedes me when I clean, so getting rid of those things truly helps. I’m starting room by room and as I organize a space I look out for things we no longer need and then toss them! This will clear me up to use my schedule with ease in the hopefully near future!

  34. Krissy Feb 26, 2010 at 11:10 pm #

    Menu planning!

  36. Andrea Feb 26, 2010 at 10:58 pm #

I need to get a house cleaning routine down…our dirty bathrooms could definitely benefit from this! :)

  37. Nicole Feb 26, 2010 at 10:58 pm #

At first, I saw this giveaway and thought, “Someone else could better from it other than me.” Although, as I went about my daily routines the more I thought that this is exactly what I need. I’m already the list queen (even going as far as making a list of lists I need to make), but they all seem to get jumbled around the house, lost, forgotten, or used up. Not to mention all the notebooks I have (What a waste of paper, right?), and I can’t ever remember which notebook is where or what’s in which one.

And as I incorporate myself into a more natural lifestyle I watch the lists grow larger and planning ahead becoming a larger issue. I believe this website would help in all areas of my life, but is going to help out the most with planning out meals around our everyday lives, and also grocery lists! I have to make 3 separate lists for groceries to accommodate the fact I shop at three different stores…it gets annoying! Bring on the master list! As a strategy that I’ve used to try to tackle this beast so far would be to simply begin thinking ahead more often (like today was the first day I begin to start soaking my whole grains, and asking myself “What needs to be done NOW to help me out LATER?”

Thanks for the chance at this giveaway!

I want to get better at managing our finances. I’ve been trying to keep a budget and really stick to it by using cash instead of credit.

I’ve heard good things about ListItPlanIt. I would love to use the menu plans! :-)

  40. Shawn Feb 26, 2010 at 9:22 pm #

Ohhhh What a fantastic giveaway! I’ve always loved lists. I have little ones in diapers so I try not to be too hard on myself in the area of organization, however one area I would love help in revising my menu. Right now I have a monthly calendar I use but I want to make a book with all of the recipes and ingredients that we need. Then I could just put the ones we need to grocery shop and cook for in the front for that week. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  41. Monica Feb 26, 2010 at 9:20 pm #

There are so many areas I need to re-organize in my life. I think organization really went most downhill for me when I had prolonged morning sickness. I just want to get it done, but feel so overwhelmed on where to start.

I need the most help in organizing papers. Sometimes I feel like I’m drowning in them. I’ve been praying about it and have decided I need to be more ruthless in throwing stuff away and making sure every paper has a place to go,but don’t know what system to use yet.
