I am unsure what to put in the place for coupon code. I tried typing in what you had stated but that did not work. Could you offer some advice?
Thank you and love your blog.

Sorry Jennifer. I forgot to write that the free product will be included in your order but will not show on your order form.

    • Lindsay says:

Opps…you will not put it in the coupon code section, just in the comments section.

    • Exactly. It’s a special kind of offer. There’s no way to have it show up automatically on the receipts, but it will be included with your order. We simply check the order and add the sample you requested in the comments box when the order is packed. Simple. No worries. :-)

I recently bought soap nuts and have been really enjoying using them. I do feel though that my clothes, towels, etc. tend to get a little musty smelling more quickly. Do you have any suggestions? Do you add essential oils to the laundry or anything like that? Thanks for your help!

    • Lindsay says:

I have not experienced this problem. Are you leaving them in the washer too long? You could try adding some essential oils on a cloth and throwing it in with the laundry.

    • Monica, Be sure that you are not over-stuffing your loads. Hands down, that’s the #1 biggest mistake people make (regardless of type of machine or detergent) when washing laundry. Commercial chemical detergents will mask the mustiness with a scent. The mustiness though is due to the laundry not being thoroughly cleaned. Soap nuts contain no chemicals to mask anything. My strong bet is that you should simply increase water flow and agitation. That’s exactly the result of NOT over-loading. You’ll see a world of difference. Interestingly, when you do that, some people can actually skip the final rinse cycle to save water and energy if the load is not very soiled. Your laundry should come out VERY fresh smelling when the soap nuts are given the chance to work properly. See if that helps. If not, we’ll look at other possible variables, but I think that will do the trick if everything else is being done right. Be sure that you have read the instructions for use carefully, too.

I ordered the largest bag of soap nuts and love my laundry results. I also wanted to share with your readers that I made the soap nuts liquid per the directions on the info card they sent and use it for my dishwasher. After trying many other homemade recipes with satisfactory results, I am elated with these results. My glasses are sparkling and dishes smell fresh. They say the liquid lasts only several days so I froze mine in ice cube trays and then can pop enough out for the weeks use. What a great product and company. My order arrived very quickly and came with samples to share.

When I clicked on the PayPal button I wasn’t given a comments section to include my promo code! So now I’ll need to phone the company to see if they’ll add my free soap nuts sample.

    • Kika, We have you covered.

Folks, There is a weird issue when using the PayPal Express Checkout link at the bottom of the page when you are in your shopping cart. It skips things. Use the store’s regular checkout links. If you don’t select PayPal until the last step (selecting it from the list of payment options after you’ve selected your shipping option) it should be fine.

    • Kika and folks,
We’ve resolved the issues we were having with PayPal. It was the “Express” feature that was causing problems and skipping steps. PayPal now simply shows up in your payment options – and it is working perfectly! Please note: Don’t use the “coupon code” box (it’s actually not a promo code so leave that blank), simply put your free sample requests in the “COMMENTS” box at the bottom of the last checkout page. Your comment will show up on your receipt now, too. Have fun! It’s a really great offer.

I ordered one of their sampler packs after finding about the site through your blog. I got the soap nuts, the 18X and a bar of soap. I love all the products and plan to order more. My husband thinks I’m nuts (no pun intended) and is still using the grocery store laundry detergent. He’s going to have a rude awakening when that runs out, lol.

Susan, thanks for the tips about the soap nuts and dishwasher detergent. If I order more soap nuts, I’ll have to try that.

    Hi,
Do you know if this offer will work for Canadians too? Would LOVE it if it does :)
    Thanks

    Hi Lindsay,

Can you explain how you use the soap nuts in the bag to wash your cloth diapers? What cycles, temperature, etc.? Thanks!

    • Lindsay says:

I do one cold complete cycle followed by one hot cycle. You can remove the soap nuts bag for the second wash or keep it in. I usually cannot find it until I take the laundry out, so I keep it in. You could experiment with it because it may not need as much as I do. No extra rinses needed.

I am the worlds biggest Soap Nuts fan. My son’s mysterioius skin rashes are completely gone and my laundry has never been softer. My husband loves the fresh clean smell of his clothes and we are both praising God for a natural and much much cheaper soap. Did you guys know that if you are washing 6 loads of laundry a week you will average .11 CENTS per load!? My previous ECO laundry detergent was .47 cents per load in comparison. wow!

  9. JEANENE says:

I bought the sample pack too and love all the products. I noticed after the first wash, my soap nuts all broke in half and look like shells. Do I keep using them this way until they dissolve completely or does this mean all the good stuff is gone? And another question, when washing whites, do you add any oxiclean? I love how soft my clothes are.

    • Lindsay says:

That is pretty normal for them to start breaking down with each wash. You may not be able to use them for as many as 5 or more washes, as it depends upon the dirtiness of your clothing. They will not dissolve completely though. They will remain like broken shells as you described. I just use them for around 5 loads and then compost them. I usually add oxygen bleach for my whites or really dirty clothing.

Got my order so quickly! I am really excited to finish up my traditional detergent and start using these! Hoping it cures my son’s eczema.

Thank you for working together with NaturOil and getting us this great deal.
I ordered the extreme18 and got a small order of the soap nuts to make up $20 and then got an extreme 18 sample to give away to a friend. I have started using it and am soooo pleased with the results. There is no smell of any kind when laundry is done and it cleans very well. I have experimented with the Essential Oils on a rag in the dryer, I have found that it didn’t give the clothes much of a smell, but I will keep trying and experimenting. Thank you so much for this great money saving and eco friendly laundry detergent. Everyone give it a try and you will not turn back!
