Soap Nuts Giveaway!

It grows on trees! Just a simple dried nut placed in a small bag and thrown into your laundry! I am in awe of how He beautifully supplies all we need without any harsh chemicals.

Soap Nuts clean effectively without the addition of softeners. 100% natural, chemical-free, frangrance-free, biodegradable and hypoallergenic. Extremely low cost per load! I love how you can convert these soap nuts into a liquid detergent or a powder detergent or just use as they are – whatever method you prefer. I have tried two different brands of soap nuts, Maggie’s Soap Nuts & NaturOli. I cannot even compare the two. Maggie’s are packaged overseas whereas NaturOli’s are carefully inspected and packaged in the States (without any plastic, I should add). Maggie’s came to me all sticky in a plastic bag, with some broken, chipped nuts, whereas NaturOli’s were beautifully dried and carefully selected. No stickiness whatsoever thus a far superior product. Another bonus…NaturOli’s are more reasonably priced!

    I would love to try the soap nuts. I just ordered some dryer balls (that are supposed to reduce drying time) but won’t be needing them until the fall because right now we are line drying all our clothes! I would love a sample of the soap nuts and I thank you for all the tips you provide!

    I’m thrilled to see that you’ve posted a give-away for the soapnuts. I’ve just ordered some through Mountain Rose Herbs (7$/LB), which is the best price that I’ve seen so far. I’ll let you know if they are packaged similarly to how you described Naturoli’s. Even though I’ve already ordered some, I’d love to win a sample pack to give to a friend.

      Danielle, I was thrilled to see the price for soap nuts that you purchased but after further review I would not recommend them. Read more about it here. He is talking specifically in this article about trying the MRH variety. I received a picture comparing them to NaturOli’s and there is a significant difference. It is probably the worst thing anyone could try to experiment with soap nuts. Somehow MRH got ripped off. The actual nuts of the fruit will stain your clothing. I will be sharing more about it shortly. Just be aware that it will be a completely different product in quality. I would recommend you return them.

    I just found your blog a few weeks ago, and have been enjoying learning about so many things I was unaware of. Like raw milk! I started searching and scouring on the internet, not really thinking I’d be able to find any near me, and low and behold I found some in a health/whole food store just around the block from my house I wasn’t even aware of for 4 years, how fabulous is that? So thanks for being such an inspiration and sharing your wonderful knowledge so freely!

    I would love to be entered in the giveaway. I’ve been intrigued since you started posting about laundry alternatives. I recently started making my own detergent (using the borax) before reading your post about it, but I haven’t been thrilled with it so far. We’re expecting a baby shortly and will be using cloth diapers so I’ve been trying to figure out what we’re going to use to wash them. I’ve been seeing ads for soap nuts all over the place lately, but was skeptical about whether they really worked. Thanks for sharing your experience.
