Fuzzi Bunz Cloth Diaper giveaway!

fuzzi-bunz

After our recent discussion on cloth diapering, Fuzzi Bunz donated a 3 pack of their pocket perfect size diapers to give away to one lucky reader! (I want to win them myself! ;) The winner may select what size and colors they would like.perfect-size I personally have not used fuzzi bunz as of yet, but I have heard rave reviews of their durability and perfect fit sizing. I personally think pocket diapers are the easiest cloth diapering system as they dry very fast, rarely leak, and come in an assortment of cute colors. Read more about the Fuzzi Bunz features here.

I am cloth diapering my second child. The poor little guy has an older sister, so I am sure he and his dad would like to see him in a few new fuzzi bunz. My best tip is to use cloth wipes. It saves a lot of money and they work so much better. And since you are already doing the load of laundry it doesn’t cost more to wash them.

I just tried cloth diapers for the first time today and I really like them. Starting in May I will have two kids in diapers.

Would love to win these! We switched to cloth diapers just a couple of months ago. My daughter had a really tough time with the disposables. The doc said she had chronic yeast infections, but I had a feeling it was a reaction to some chemical or something. The doc said cloth may make it worse. We have had little trouble with rashes or anything since we switched. What a relief for our whole family! One tip, some clothes fit differently with the cloth diapers – but summer is coming and these diapers look cute!

I am currently using cloth diapers for my fourth child. We tried with our third, but he was over 2 and HATED them. It took awhile to get the system down, and I was fortunate to have a friend give some to me as well as find a few on clearance sale. My biggest tip is to use the sun. Again I am fortunate to live in CO where the sun shines most days. The sun gets out stains that are years old!!!

Although I’m a bit behind and didn’t know about the updated cloth diaper thing until my now youngest who is 2 is really close to being potty trianed so I have not tried it. BUT you never know and I think such things would be a very good idea to have in your storage. You never know! ;)

I love Fuzzi Bunz! I tried a few brands with my daughter, but FB were my faves. I am looking forward to cloth-diapering my new babe, who is due in a month.

Hi, I’ve just started reading your blog, and especially love your recipes. I have been cloth diapering my 16-month-old son since he was one month old. I use Bum Genius and have recently bought Fuzzi Bunz for when he grows out of the Bum Geniuses in the next few months. They are both awesome diapers, and just as quick and convenient as disposables. My cloth diapering tip is to use washable wipes also!

  8. Lisa R Mar 31, 2009 at 1:01 pm #

I like pocket dipes the best too. Would love to try some fuzzy bunz!

  9. Mandy Mar 31, 2009 at 11:50 am #

um, which tips to choose. . .a bit of sunlight does wonders for removing any stubborn staining (if you can find some sun) and a bit of tea tree oil in the softener dispenser helps with odor, but not as much as washing every 1-2 days. What a great giveaway. (oh some companies like diaperco.com have sampler packages, where you can try a bunch of good options for a lower price than buying the diapers individually.)

I started Cloth diapering about 7 months ago and I have 3 girls 3 and under. My 3 year old still needs a diaper at night. Tip One sizes are great for all 3 of my girls and I prefer pocket diapers or AIO/AIO w/ a pocket. I also like fitteds, ahh I guess the tip is to have lots of them for different times/uses. I also love my diaper sprayer to help with rinsing poo. It is wonderful to never need to go to the store for disposable diapers and my trash doesn’t need out as often.

  11. Lisa Mar 31, 2009 at 10:25 am #

Wow! I would love to win as I’m due in 4 weeks with my first and would love to go this route with diapers!

  12. Abby Mar 31, 2009 at 10:17 am #

I am new to cloth diapering. My advice would be to just try it if you are thinking about using cloth. I was kind of nervous about it at first, but it has worked out great for us. I am amazed how absorbent they are. We have not had any issues using them overnight. They are also so nice and soft for my little guy!

  13. Sarah Mar 31, 2009 at 10:10 am #

I have been happily cloth diapering my little guy since he was born. At first I loved the Bum Genius and hated the prefolds with Bummis covers. Now I absolutely love the prefolds. It surprised me how my baby’s needs changed over the months. I have learned not to be dead set on any particular diaper and am excited to potentially add a new option to my collection. Also, I have saved soooooo much money!

  14. Melissa Mar 31, 2009 at 9:50 am #

I have been searching for the perfect cloth diaper, right now I’m using prefolds. I would love to try fuzzi buns!! Thanks for the fun giveaway Lindsey!

  15. Jill Mar 31, 2009 at 9:07 am #

I’m looking forward to cloth diapering my second child. There are so many options out there that it’s a little overwhelming at this point. I’m thankful for the several friends I have that cloth diaper and can guide me along :)

  16. Jill Mar 31, 2009 at 8:36 am #

I have two friends who are pregnant and I don’t think they’re looking at cloth diapers. I would love to give these to them to see if they’d be willing to go with cloth.

  17. Katie J. Mar 31, 2009 at 8:17 am #

I have not yet used cloth diapers, I am 28 weeks pregnant and will begin cloth diapering when my baby arrives. I became interested in cloth diapering because I wanted to avoid exposing my baby to harsh chemicals and also save money. I am excited to take on this new task! To all those who are considering cloth diapers, don’t let other people’s negative comments make you fearful about cloth. I’ve talked to many women who have used them and they have told me it really is simple!

  18. erica Mar 31, 2009 at 8:04 am #

I’ve been CD’ing for a year with my first and my two favorite tips are 1. to fold smaller size prefolds into thirds and use that as a doubler inside your current size diaper for nighttime and 2. when going out, I turn my covers and prefolds into makeshift AIOs by pre-assembling a prefold in a cover and then packing those into my diaper bag. I love LOVE using cloth diapers on my child.

  19. Liz Mar 31, 2009 at 7:53 am #

I just learned to use 1/4 cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle to make the diapers soft and to get any ammonia smell/residue out of them. I would also like to add that if you’re a first time user of cloth diapers, to not give up. It takes a little adjustment at first, but once you get a routine/system down, they can be almost as simple as using disposables. It helps to constantly remember why you are using the cloth diapers in the first place to keep you going. :)

  20. Amanda Mar 31, 2009 at 7:51 am #

I LOVE cloth diapering! My 16 month old was in disposables for a week while we were waiting on a shipment of detergent. When it was time to change her diaper, she went and got a cloth diaper and brought it to me. Apparently she loves them too! :)

  21. Emily Mar 31, 2009 at 6:57 am #

I have used cloth diapers for three kids and love Fuzzi Bunz!

  22. Jennifer Mar 31, 2009 at 6:47 am #

My best tip is to try, try again. If you try cloth once and don’t like the type you are using don’t be afraid to take another try at cloth diapering. I am trying to corral a few friends into cloth.

  23. Jennifer Cogar Mar 31, 2009 at 6:38 am #

I’ve been a skeptic of the success of cloth diapering, but I definitely see it’s value and think improved ones like these could be the motivation I need to make the transition. Thanks for the info!

  24. jen beggs Mar 31, 2009 at 6:36 am #

i have never used cloth diapers, but now that I’m expecting my 3rd baby this fall, i’m seriously considering it. I’m looking for economical and easy to use.

  25. Sandra Mar 31, 2009 at 6:18 am #

My cloth diapering tip is to do what works for you, and not worry about what everyone else may think or say about it. The best example is the many methods for washing them! Everyone has an opinion, but once you figure out what works for you, stick with it and don’t worry!

  26. Mareth Mar 31, 2009 at 6:14 am #

I am looking into cloth diapers for my ten month old daughter. What a big step! I want to do what’s best for her but worry about the commitment!:o)

  27. Bethany Mar 31, 2009 at 6:04 am #

What a great gift! I am pregnant with our first and could really use these. Thanks, I really enjoy your blog!

  28. Carrie D Mar 31, 2009 at 5:51 am #

I have been reading and following your blog for a few months now and love it! I have no advice to share about cloth diapering, but I plan on using cloth diapers when our first baby arrives in late September! I have enjoyed so much your posts on cloth diapering and all the resources on natural pregnancy. Thank you!

  29. Kelly Mar 31, 2009 at 5:39 am #

I enjoy hanging my diapers out to dry on the line occasionally when it is warm. Not only is it a great way to save money used on electricity, the sun is a natural whitener (so don’t hang the covers outside too often!)!

  30. Rene Mar 31, 2009 at 5:38 am #

I’ve been reading your blog ever since I came across the recipe for baby porridge (after reading the Super Baby Food book). It’s awesome! Thank you for all your informative posts. I have just started looking into cloth diapers; I purchased two Bum Genius 3.0 diapers to investigate. Would love to compare them to the Fuzzi Buns!

  31. Lindsay Mar 31, 2009 at 5:30 am #

I’m pregnant with my first and am so excited to start cloth diapering! :)

  32. Gabi Mar 31, 2009 at 5:17 am #

I’m expecting my second child in May and have decided a long time ago that we would like to use cloth diapers. I have talked to many people about cloth diapering and did a lot of research. The brand that I’m buying is actually FuzziBunz so this giveaway would give me a good start. :-)

  33. Rachel Smith Mar 31, 2009 at 5:00 am #

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first cloth diapers (fuzzy bunz of course) to start cloth diapering my 3rd child. I am excited to get started! Cloth diapers are healthier for baby, for environment and for my bank account! As a stay at home mom, I try to do any little bit I can to help save money and save the planet. We could only afford to purchase the minimum to get started, so winning these free fuzzy bunz would be fabulous!

  34. Heather C. Mar 31, 2009 at 4:41 am #

My advice for those starting out is to baby-step your way to cloth diapering. I started just using cloth during the day and disposables for outings and at night. Then I moved on to only using disposables for outings. I eventually worked my way to cloth diapering 24-7. The total transition from all disposable to all cloth took 2 months. Taking my time took the intimidation out of it all and helped me get into a routine while adjusting to the added responsibility of being a mommy of 3.

  35. Lauren Mar 31, 2009 at 3:44 am #

I haven’t tried cloth diapers yet, but I’d love to try them with our next one due Oct. 26. Thanks for the opportunity!

  36. Kimberly J Mar 31, 2009 at 3:06 am #

I just started using prefold cloth diapers and love them! I’ve really enjoyed using them and would love to try Fuzzi Bunz as well.

  37. Kimberly J Mar 31, 2009 at 3:04 am #

I just started using prefold cloth diapers and love them! I’ve really enjoyed using them and would love to try out Fuzzi Bunz as well.

  38. Anna O Mar 30, 2009 at 10:37 pm #

These cloth diapers sound great! So much better and more convenient than the ones my Mother used! I could definitely do cloth diapers like these! :-)

  39. Kendra Mar 30, 2009 at 10:26 pm #

Oh i have been wanting to try cloth diapering

  40. Heather Overby Mar 30, 2009 at 10:13 pm #

Oh I sooooo want to win these diapers. All I have are the prefolds and thirsties covers. They work great for us but I’m sure not keeping up with the CD trends. Just can’t justify spending that kind of money if I already have a system that works

  41. Kellie Mar 30, 2009 at 9:56 pm #

Wow. How can I not enter this??? My advice for cloth diapering would be to go to miraclediapers.com . If you can’t afford them on your own, this company will send you free diapers!!!

  42. Sarah Mar 30, 2009 at 9:35 pm #

I so want to try cloth diapering – my advice Make sure everyone is on board – I am having trouble convincing my hubby to try it.

  43. Elizabeth Mar 30, 2009 at 8:48 pm #

I love my fuzzi buns! My 26th month old has been in them and some prefolds with prowrap and thursie covers since the beginning. The fuzzi buns mediums have lasted to long, love the adjustability of the waist and leg snaps. However, my little chunk would use a large now, so winning some would be great!

Tip, if you use cloth diapers, why not wipes as well. All those baby wash cloths you tend to get at showers make great wipes. We keep them in a wipe warmer and make a solution of water, castile soap, lavender oil and tea tree oil.

  44. onemotherslove Mar 30, 2009 at 8:19 pm #

I’m about to have #3 next week & would love some new cloth diapers!!!

  45. Phoebe T. Mar 30, 2009 at 8:16 pm #

What fun! A diaper giveaway. Thanks for making it available. Unfortunately, I don’t have any recommendations just yet for cloth diapering. I’m hoping to have a child in the near future and to try this out. I appreciate all of you who have given your input. I’m hoping to win these for my friend who is a mother of four and who just gave birth to her fourth.

  46. Jessica Mar 30, 2009 at 8:01 pm #

Haven’t used CD but hope and plan to Lord willing when I get blessed with some babies. :)

  47. Karen Olayo Mar 30, 2009 at 8:00 pm #

The only experience i have with cloth diapers is that i wore them as a baby. However, i really would like to get my two in diapers using cloth diapers! Maybe this could be the nudge i’ve been looking for!

  48. Stina Mar 30, 2009 at 7:55 pm #

I’ve never used cloth diapers but am definitely dying to give it a shot.

  49. Chantel Mar 30, 2009 at 7:47 pm #

I have a 14 month son, and have been using disposable diapers for him, but I’m seriously contemplating making the transition to cloth for environmental and financial reasons. It would be great to have a few types of cloth diapers to help decide which way to go.

  50. Sara Mar 30, 2009 at 7:46 pm #

Cloth diapering is the best! My best tip is to start off on the right foot…don’t buy the cheapest of cheapest just to “get by”. You’ll probably end up hating them and quitting your cloth diapering journey early. Buy quality and take your family’s lifestyle into consideration (i.e. if you are out on the town a lot, you might consider pockets or AIOs instead of prefolds for the majority of your stash).
