FYI, it looks like Ikea has a slightly different version of these, called KLADD PRICKAR. Same great price and look though!

What other great buys have you found at Ikea? It’d be awesome to see a roundup!

I wanted to thank you for this suggestion. We bought these bibs from Ikea yesterday, and WOW what a difference! DS is 16 1/2 months old and is so much happier feeding himself. Now I don’t have to strip him down when I give him something messy. These are awesome! Also to the person asking about the velcro, I haven’t had a problem with my son pulling these off. He’s very adept at getting out of all others, but these are a lot more difficult for him to remove.

Thank you so much for suggesting this bib. I have spent so much money trying to find a bib that I liked. These bibs work great. We were going to Ikea anyway and these bibs made the trip worthwhile. (I usually just get frustrated walking round and round that store!)

Anyway, tonight was the first time that I gave my daughter spaghetti and it would have been a lot messier without this bib! =) I put a picture up on my blog of it.

Yes, they are velcro, but definitely a good strong velcro. I found it is just a matter of training them that they cannot take it off.

Those bibs look awesome!

I don’t mind a little mess. My girls have been completely self feeding since they were 12 months old. We’ve gone through several different styles of bibs.

One question, do those have a velcro closure? Because my kids can just pull that kind off without much trouble at all. At this point we’re using the kind with the snap closures.

Yes, when she was younger I would spoon feed her myself, but she definitely loves to feed herself now and goes for it wholeheartedly! She is surprisingly proficient already with a fork and spoon. I don’t mind it anymore with these bibs! No stains!

Or strip her down to a onesie. I’ve done that w/spaghetti. That’s really the only thing that stained. But I would usually try and put them in a red shirt, or something dark if we are out.

Have you tried just giving her a small amount of food? I dunno, I fed my girls until they were proficient w/a fork and knife. Anal I know, but the price of clothing was just too much to ruin an outfit.
