Prego mommy – 19 weeks!

Here I am, and almost half way to the finish line! I have been feeling the baby moving frequently lately. What a delight to feel the life forming inside me. Enjoying every moment and blessed to be feeling so well! Past that first trimester tiredness and getting a little more energy around here. Now if I could just figure out how to get in a good sleeping position so I don’t wake up with a sore back!

I have to say ditto on the body pillow… http://www.spinningbabies.com recommends sleeping at a 45* angle so you’re halfway on your face…I put one hip and shoulder on the body pillow, and hung my belly into the space created between the pillow and the bed. It was very comfortable, and helped keep the baby in an anterior position (which of course helps when birth-time comes!).

I just found you this morning when I googled the waldorf quote about children just needing a few simple toys…I was writing a blog post about toys and wanted to make sure I quoted the reference properly. I found your article (which is GREAT!) and then started reading through your blog. It’s marvelous! I added you to my blogroll and I’ll definitely be back.

You look great! Half way there. We just had our little one two weeks ago….such a blessing they are!
Can’t wait to see those first newborn pictures when baby arrives.

We are off to the pumpkin patch this coming Saturday….it’s the highlight of October for us!

    Have a great day

Ah, Lindsay, you are the picture of a glowing, beautiful mommy. Hope you find a comfy way to sleep soon. A pillow between my knees (while sleeping on my side), and one pressed against my back helped me when pregnant. And lots of back rubs from my husband. :)

So cute!! Being pregnant can be so fun especially when they start moving. I second the putting a pillow in between your knees that always helps me. Are you having an ultrasound to find out what it is?? I know my midwife didn’t do them but I know some people’s do.

Hi! You look great! I am just a bit further along than you I’m guessing. I’m about 6 months now. Anywho…I sleep with a pillow between my knees and I put my belly and such on top of the pillow as well. ;-) This really does help…but I’m not sure you can make the sore back go away completely! LOL.

I used a body pillow, and that helped tremendously. Unfortunately in the 3rd trimester, it’s hard to get good sleep at all. You look great – blessings to you for a healthy pregnancy!

You look lovely. Isn’t it fun to be in the second trimester? I’m 22 weeks now. Maybe you could share more information about your midwife and preparing for a home birth? Blessings, Kelly

You look absolutely beautiful! You really do have that “glow”. I remember when you mentioned the baby was the size of a blueberry. I can’t believe you’re nearly half way there now!

I can’t believe you’re almost halfway! That’s crazy…so excited to see if I am going to have a niece or nephew.

You are so beautiful! I am thankful for mommies like you – encouraging other ladies in their walks with the Lord and in their roles as wives, mommas, and homemakers.
I got to your blog through your sister’s, and am really enjoying it. It is a sweet place to be!

You look great! I think baby bumps are adorable. The Pregnancy Comfort Wedge by Boppy was a life-saver when I was in my second and third trimester. I wedged it under my belly and slept on my side. It prevented my back from getting twisted in the night.

You look absolutely gorgeous! And, congratulations on almost halfway. It’s amazing how much of a milestone that really is, and time really flies! I can’t wait to be pregnant again (Lord willing)!

Sleep on your side, and a pillow between you knees. Or if you are a back sleeper, put a SMALL pillow under the small of your back.
