We had a lovely camping trip with the Lightsys team this past weekend at Mt. Rainier, which is a spectacular view that my hubby captured well in the above picture. The Lord really blessed our trip and gave us confirmation that this is the direction He is calling us to. (To read more about our journey in this direction, read here).
The team - including two interns who were there for the summer
As we heard many stories of how God has used this ministry to serve missionaries and mission organizations around the world through technology services (training, services, repairs, etc), I knew that my husband was excited and that this was exactly up his alley!
Hiking around Mt. Rainier - the beautiful falls and scenery!
Karis did amazingly well. We finally figured out the trick and decided to just all go to bed at the same time, as before it seemed that she would wake up when we entered the tent (no matter how quiet we were). She slept wonderfully all three nights, going from 9pm-8 am. Hallelujah!
Thank you for your prayers!
My thanksgiving for the week:
1. God is so faithful to lead and direct us when we continue to seek His face and step out in faith. He gives us specific gifts for a purpose! I always imagined Aaron preaching in front of an unreached people group, but then the Lord revealed to me that that was not where He had gifted Aaron. He gifted him with technology skills which are greatly needed in mission work!
2. I am thankful for good sleep!
3. I am thankful for healthy home cooking! They provided all the food for us for the weekend, which was a huge blessing, and something I am thankful for! Yet, I am thankful to return home and start including more fruits and veggies!

It’s so very nice when God speaks clearly… and when we listen carefully.

This ministry sounds so great. We are in super search mode for what God wants our family to do for him. Sounds like you’ve heard a clear answer and are moving forward with something wonderful.

Sounds like you had an enjoyable time.
I LOVE the pic of the mountain with wildflowers. I hope that perhaps we can go to Mt Ranier when my hubby and I are in Seattle next spring for his medical meetings. The scenery looks amazing!

I love your pictures. I live in Kansas where we do not have anything like the mountains and waterfalls I saw in your photos. We do have wheat fields that are beautiful when they are about ready for the harvest. It reminds me every time I think about harvest time that the Lord has sent us to harvest people for His kingdom.
