First Fruits!

We picked our first green pepper yesterday! It is so cute and perfect! Green peppers were surprisingly easy to grow, which is a huge blessing to the newbie over here! Karis was delighted to be able to help mommy pick it! The tomatoes are coming along nicely as well…we will definitely have an abundance! Praise the Lord for the amazing ability to grow some of our own food even in limited space on the deck!

    How awesome. So glad to hear that your deck garden is doing well. We have a little patio garden ourselves, but unfortunately it is not doing as well as yours. I even killed our basil, though I’m still trying to figure out how I managed that.

    You’re green pepper does look fabulous, how are the tomatoes coming? I have at least 10 juicy green mounds hanging off the branches, but my cherry tomato is not fairing as well as I’d hoped.

    Isn’t it so wonderful to have vegetables and watch them grow.I remember the first time I did it and went wow I did that?Your daughter looks very excited about the green pepper too.

    Congrats on the garden! Starting small is a good idea. That way you won’t be overwhelmed and can still keep up with your harvests.

    Your pepper looks great! You are doing a good thing. I truly believe that if little ones are involved in the process of growing food they are much more open to eating it!
