everyone here think that toaster ovens are slow!!!!! ? my convection oven that i can fit and cook a n entire chicken cooks fast!

it takes the same time to warm up a lasagna in a dish (6 minutes) as it does in a microwave!!!!!! with the convection setting on. and taste a whole lot better

if the 2 minutes warming it up to 375 takes too long, then do what you want.

but for me taste , and health is more important than 2 minutes

"First off, why are we in such a rush to have our food prepared in 1 minute? Why not slow down and enjoy the gift of life and the process of preparing quality food for your family?"\

Because most of us have jobs :(
I wish I had the luxury of getting to spend as much time as I want in the kitchen.

I know this was posted quite a while ago, but I just had to thank you for these valuable tips! I'm happy to find any tips or ideas on how to use the microwave less, and so was drawn to this link.

We own the exact same Oster toaster oven as you do, and I agree, it's a very handy and versatile machine.

I use our toaster oven for a lot of things, but I've never used it to thaw frozen foods or reheat leftovers! What a stroke of genius! It never occurred to me that I could do either of those things in a toaster oven. I was so happy when I found this comment of yours after scrolling through them all--I'm writing these tips down!

What kind/brand of toaster oven do you have? I'm glad you wrote this because I have been wanting to get rid of my microwave but hadn't thought of swapping it for a toaster oven!

My husband and I haven’t never owned a microwave... we received a convection toaster oven as a wedding present (which is amazing) and the I've noticed that a microwave would be beneficial for only one reason--heating a hot/cold pack... you can’t use a toaster oven or stove top for that, haha. But seriously investing in an old school heating pad is clearly a small sacrifice.

We decided against the microwave to save space and encourage patience in our home and just old fashion cooking. A small way to deny ourselves of every luxury out there...

Thanks for the post. It's encouraging how your family is living out simplicity naturally.
