I love the way Paul addresses sin­gles in 1 Cor. 7:34-35:

“An unmar­ried woman or virgin is con­cerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a mar­ried woman is con­cerned about the affairs of this world - how she can please her hus­band. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undi­vided devo­tion to the Lord.”

His Chosen Bride: Apply­ing Proverbs 31 as a Single Young Woman by Jen­nifer Lamp - this was one of my favorite books inspir­ing me to live for the ser­vice of others in my single years. A book to exhort young women to fully and com­pletely trust God with their futures, plac­ing their hopes and dreams, even the “desires of thier hearts” into His trust­wor­thy hands to serve Him with ded­i­ca­tion. Jen­nifer leads the reader through the beau­ti­ful attrib­utes of Proverbs 31, chal­leng­ing single women to live out these qual­i­ties unto the Lord as their Hus­band. Great book for mom & daugh­ters to read together!

So Much More by Anna Sofia & Eliz­a­beth Botkin - an won­der­ful chal­leng­ing read on the remark­able influ­ence that daugh­ters with vision can have on their fam­i­lies and ulti­mately the king­dom of God. I love the chal­lenge this book gives for young woman to fully devote them­selves to serv­ing their fam­i­lies and espe­cially fur­ther­ing the vision of their fathers. Beau­ti­ful tes­ti­mony from these young ladies.

The Rich Single’s Life by Andrew Farmer - God intents this season to be one of great rich­ness, focus and ful­fill­ment in him - a time when abun­dance joins with oppor­tu­nity, and your iden­tity in Christ emerges from undi­vided devo­tion to the Lord. This is the mes­sage so clearly pre­sented in this excel­lent book.
