Movie Review: Bella

Wow! If you have not seen this movie yet, you need to support this film! My husband and I along with some friends went to see this last night, and it is definitely worth our time and money (movies are not cheap these days). I do not give recommendations lightly for movies, but this film is worth going to the theaters and supporting. I don’t think I have ever cried as much in a movie before as I was greatly impacted by the pro-life message of this film.

After going through a significant tragedy that torments his life, the main character has a passion to preserve life and comes to meet the needs of a woman who is unexpectedly pregnant and desperate. She wants to abort her child, but through the beautiful story that transpires in this film, the message of hope and life are powerfully conveyed. It is a beautiful love story.

It renewed in me a greater love and devotion to my little one, strengthening my calling as a mother. Children are such a precious gift, and I have so often, to my shame, not treasured my little girl as a gift from God to be nurtured and loved no matter the cost. In addition it has given me a greater burden to be more in fervent prayer that abortion might come to an end in our country. Having volunteered in the past at our local Pregnancy Resource Center, this movie hit home in many points, as I have heard the same excuses given for not choosing life, but I am encouraged to press on in supporting these ministries and getting behind them more fervently with my prayers and support. The cause of promoting life is so important!
