Motherhood: A Career?

I was at a ladies retreat a few weeks ago and the speaker was sharing on numerous different roles a wife and mother plays in the home. Going through the alphabet…how many different skills does a mother have to possess? Next time someone asks you, “what do you do for a living?” Here’s your answer:

Accountant

Administrator

Advisor

Barber

Chauffer

Cheerleader

Coach

Cook

Counselor

Driving Instructor

Gardener

Hostess

Interior decorator

Landscape designer

Maid

Merchant

Mind-reader

Mother

Nutritionist

Nurse

Psychologist

Spiritual advisor

Teacher

Waitress AND wife

The list goes on….You don’t need to be ashamed to say you are a stay-at-home mom any longer.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve always had a problem with women who say they are “just a (stay at home) mom.”
